About Me

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI), where I work with Dr. Elena Sabbi (who is now at NOIRlab) and Dr. Peter Zeidler on Galaxy UV Project (GULP ) and JWST observations of NGC 602-a young star cluster in the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC).

Before joining STScI, I completed my Ph.D. in Physics (2022) at Georgia State University in Extragalactic Astronomy under the supervision of Dr. Michael Crenshaw. My dissertation was focused on identifying the dynamics of the narrow line region (NLR) in nearby active galaxies. My dissertation work provided key results in the study of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), stating that the outflows in NLRs are driven by AGN radiation pressure.

I have an undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and a Masters in Technology in Opto-electronics and Optical Engineering. Before starting the Ph.D. program at GSU, I worked as an Intellectual Property Researcher at CPA Global, India.

Research

My research focuses on understanding how galaxies form and evolve over cosmic time. I study different aspects of extragalactic astronomy, from the impact of AGN feedback on galaxy evolution to the complex stellar structures within star-forming regions of nearby galaxies. By investigating feedback mechanisms and young star formation in nearby universe using highly resolved, multi-wavelngth observations, I aim to uncover the physical processes that shape galaxies and drive their transformation.
